BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Funeral Mass of Resurrection was celebrated for Joseph James Regnier, 75, of Bowling Green on Friday, Jan. 4, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Bowling Green.
He died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at the Medical Center in Scottsville.
The Minneota native was a son of the late Joseph Raymond Regnier and Olga Melby Regnier and the husband of the late Mary Jo DeFoe Regnier. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Blake Franklin Cole Hyman; a brother, John Michael Regnier and a sister Mary Ann Grundhoffer. He was an Army veteran, a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a 22-year member of AA, where he was a sponsor to many.
Survivors include four daughters, Joan Thomas (Lee), Barbara Trawick (Michael), Diane Regnier and Karen Porter (Howard); two sons, James Regnier (Brandi) and Joseph E. Regnier (Carrie); nine grandchildren, Brent Hyman, William Hyman, Austin Trawick, Coleen Turner, Grant Regnier, Grace Regnier, Anna Regnier, Lauren Regnier and Jacob Regnier; four great-grandchildren, R.J. Turner, Robby Turner, Chelsea Turner and Brennan Hyman; a brother, Dennis Regnier (Pady); a sister, Peggy Lietzke (Bob) and many other family and friends.
