Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received by the City of Marshall until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at the Marshall City Hall located at 344 West Main Street, Marshall, MN, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud, for the furnishing of all labor and material for the removal and installation of a new solids contact clarifier mechanism. Work includes: removal and installation of new sluice gate for final clarifier; removal and reinstallation of existing fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) cover on 90 foot diameter concrete clarifier tank; removal of existing and reinstallation of new solids contact clarifier mechanism, walkway, launders, and minor concrete tank repairs; removal and installation of new electrical wiring, conduits, and lighting; and site restoration.

Bids shall be on the form provided for that purpose and according to the Bidding Requirements prepared by Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc., dated January 14, 2013.

A pre-Bid conference will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the Marshall Wastewater Treatment Facility located at 600 East Erie Road, Marshall, MN. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the conference.

Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

Bids shall be directed to the City Clerk, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper, “BID FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT IMPROVEMENTS-SOLIDS CONTACT CLARIFIER, MARSH 122037.”

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the Owner.
