WALNUT GROVE – Services for Leslie “Les” Arnold Hoyt, 93, of Walnut Grove will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, rural Walnut Grove. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. today at the Walnut Grove Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Burial is in St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Walnut Grove Area Foundation. Stephens Funeral Service – Walnut Grove Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, while surrounded by family at Sanford Tracy Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 22, 1919, in Cottonwood County, to Alfred and Charlotte (McArtor) Hoyt. He served in the United States Army as a supply sergeant during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Doris; children, Annette Good of Staples, David of Walnut Grove, Curtis of White Clay, Neb., Bruce of Brainerd and James of Williston, N.D.; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Lauren; and sisters, Lyla Henry and Roanne Axdahl.
