Courts for Feb. 9

MARSHALL – Kelsey Marie Staples, 23, of Slayton, appeared in Lyon County District Court Feb. 5 on charges of third degree driving while impaired and child endangerment. A complaint alleges Staples drove while impaired in Lyon County on Sept. 10, while a child was present in the vehicle. A hearing was set for Feb. 19.

MARSHALL – Ruach Wiyual Reat, 18, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court Feb. 5 on charges of possession of stolen property – liability for crimes of another. A complaint alleges Reat or an accomplice possessed and tried to pawn a stolen ring in Marshall on Oct. 11. The court found probable cause for the charges, and a motion to dismiss the charges was denied. A hearing was set for Feb. 19.

MARSHALL – Raul Salinas, Jr., 29, of Montevideo, appeared in Lyon County District Court Feb. 5 on two counts of theft charges. A complaint alleges Salinas stole merchandise from a Marshall business on Oct. 29 and Nov. 5. A hearing was set for March 5.

MARSHALL – Jeremy Steven Robb, 28, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court Feb. 5 on charges of predatory offender – failure to register address. A complaint alleges Robb failed to notify law enforcement when he moved from Sleepy Eye to Marshall in December. A hearing was set for Feb. 19. A request to reduce bail for Robb was granted. Bail was set at $5,000.
