Kingdom Dog Ministries event Feb. 24 at Living Word

Living Word Church invites the public to a Kingdom Dog Ministries event at 8 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at Living Word Church, Marshall.

Kingdom Dog Ministries is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching obedience and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the unique use of Labrador Retrievers. Using dogs as a visual illustration, KDM blends humor with simple and timeless biblical truths to encourage you. Also, come and hear about the outdoor ministry Fellowship of Christian Sportsmen Plus at 9:15 a.m. during adult coffee time.

A potluck and wild game feed will take place at noon. Living Word is located in the former Schwan University Building at 800 Southview Court East, Marshall.

SCD to sponsor Lenten lunches Thursdays

The Slayton Catholic Daughters will sponsor a luncheon each Thursday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at St. Ann’s Church, Divine Mercy Hall, Slayton. The menu includes sandwiches, salads and desserts. Carryouts are available by calling 507-227-6519. Thursday’s lunch will include bone-in ham.

Open House planned Tuesday at St. Stephen Preschool

St. Stephen Preschool will have its open house/registration night from 4:30-6 p.m. Tuesday. At this time, preschoolers and their families are welcome to come check out the classroom, meet the teachers, ask questions and register for the 2013-2014 school year. St. Stephen Preschool is open to all children in the community on a first come, first serve basis. If unable to attend or for more information, contact Heather Fossum at 537-1516.
