Crash in YMC leaves Marshall woman dead
YELLOW MEDICINE COUNTY – A head-on collision on Minnesota Highway 23 Monday morning left one person dead and one injured, the Minnesota State Patrol said.
Terrie L. McCoss, 35, of Marshall, was killed in the two-vehicle crash, reported at 7:33 a.m. on Highway 23, south of Yellow Medicine County Road 17, the State Patrol said.
A 2007 GMC driven by Jennifer Henslin, 50, of Granite Falls, was southbound on Highway 23 when it lost control, slid sideways and crossed the center line, the State Patrol said. The GMC struck McCoss’ 2003 Honda in the northbound lane, the State Patrol said.
Road conditions were icy at the scene of the crash, the State Patrol said.
Henslin received minor injuries in the crash, the State Patrol said.
Granite Falls Police, the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office and Granite Falls Ambulance, Fire and Rescue all responded to the scene of the crash.
