Redner admitted to NMH summer session

Julia Redner, a seventh grade student at Holy Redeemer School, was admitted to Northfield Mount Hermon’s 2013 summer session for middle school. She is the daughter of Helen and Frank Redner of Echo.

She will study French, digital media, math and studio art with her master teachers. She joins a community of 250 students from the U.S. and internationally in a comprehensive program of academics, the arts and sports. Redner also will reunite with her classmates from last year from New England and around the world.

A member of the Eight Schools Association, NMH challenges its students academically by their required participation in two major courses Monday through Saturday, daily minor courses, and evening study halls. Students also participate in a college fair and make excursions to Boston as well as engaging in activities such as whitewater rafting. All students are assigned work jobs around campus. The NMH mission to nurture intellectual growth is achieved through individualized attention in small classes guided by master teachers. “Education for the Head, Heart, and Hand” is the NMH motto, and it has offered summer sessions for nearly a century.
