Hats off to MAFAC

To the editor:

Congratulations to the Marshall Area Fine Arts Council on the fine array of music for the 2012-13 concert series. I now look forward to the next concert series with anticipation, as the performers have been selected.

Are you aware of the wonderful opportunities right here at our doorstep? The Marshall concert series is comprised of four performances, with next year’s headliner, John Davidson. But through a special agreement with the Redwood Falls and Montevideo groups, their four concerts are also available to MAFAC goers, at no additional cost! You can actually go to 12 concerts throughout the season for one low price.

The series ticket prices are very reasonable with rates for adults, students and a family of four. And there is no parking charge! But the best part of it all is the wonderful acoustics that you will find at the Schwan Community Center for the Performing Arts at the Marshall High School. There just isn’t a bad seat in the house.

We are very fortunate to have this opportunity in rural Minnesota. But in order to keep this opportunity alive, MAFAC needs everyone’s help. We need to fill the auditoriums and support the arts that are so important in our lives.

Contact the MAFAC office today at 507-532-5463 to purchase your tickets. Early subscribers who purchase tickets before June 1 will also get a free guest pass for any of the four concerts in Marshall. These concerts are a real treat. MAFAC does all the work and we have the fit of fine, live entertainment close to our homes at a very reasonable price. Thank you, MAFAC.
