Long Sox downed by Bulls
The Jackson Bulls sprayed 12 hits over nine innings en route to a 6-1 victory over the Lamberton Long Sox in Lamberton on Wednesday.
Blaise Jacobson had three of Jackson’s 12 hits, while starting pitcher Kevin Holm picked up a win after five innings of duty. Three other Bulls pitched the final four innings, holding Lamberton to one run on seven hits.
The Long Sox were led by Matt Knakmuhs’ two hit night, while Jake Sell chipped in with a double. Tyler Reiner got the start and took the loss for the Long Sox, giving up four runs in four inning. Dylan Bunting pitched the final five frames.
Lamberton moves to 2-1 on the season following the loss and will look to bounce back on Saturday when the Long Sox travel to Sacred Heart for a 2 p.m. game.
