MARSHALL – Gigi Marie Alter, 49, of Ivanhoe, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court May 14 to charges of violating a restricted driver’s license and giving a false name and date of birth to a peace officer, court records said. Alter gave a false name to a peace officer in Tracy on Oct. 26, court records said. A sentencing hearing was set for May 31.
MARSHALL – Christopher Ray Maeyaert, 20, of Lucan, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court May 14 to charges of theft by check, court records said. Maeyaert offered more than $700 in checks from accounts that were closed or did not exist in Lyon County between November and January, court records said. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered, and a sentencing hearing was set for June 25.
MARSHALL – Andre Renee Carter, 54, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court May 13 on charges of terroristic threat, two counts of fifth degree assault charges and disorderly conduct. A complaint alleges Carter threatened and assaulted two people in Marshall on May 12. A hearing was set for May 28. Bail was set at $20,000 without conditions, or $10,000 bond or $1,000 cash with conditions including appear in court, do not enter bars or liquor stores and have no contact with the alleged victims.
