Pechtel-Pfeiffer graduates from UW-Stout
Laura Pechtel-Pfeiffer graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout May 11.
Pfeiffer received a bachelor of science degree in fashion marketing and merchandising with a business minor.
She will begin her career June 3 in Milwaukee, Wis., at Bon Ton corporate headquarters as a buyer/planner.
Area students among UND graduates
The University of North Dakota had its annual spring commencement at Saturday, May 11, at the Alerus Center, Grand Forks.
For general commencement, there were 1,122 eligible undergraduate degree candidates and 417 graduate-degree candidates, including 47 doctor of physical therapy degrees. In addition, 96 received certificates, attained through several colleges.
In addition, 67 law degrees were awarded at the School of Law commencement May 4, and 58 medical degrees were awarded May 12.
Local graduates are:
Dawson – Chase Madsen (BSA); Hendricks – Channing Rham (MS); Marshall – Krista Bjella (MA), Garrett Bruce (BSATSC, cum laude).
Schoephoerster receives Student Success Scholarship from BSU
Madison Schoephoerster of Marshall is among the local students who have accepted a $1,000 Student Success Scholarship from Bemidji State University for the 2013-2014 academic year. Students who receive the Student Success Scholarship are required to have a 21 or higher on the ACT and be in the top 50 percent of their graduating class, or have a grade point average of 3.0 or above. Students must be admitted prior to Feb. 1 in order to receive scholarships for the fall semester of that year.
Lima earns degree from Dakota Wesleyan
Dakota Wesleyan University, Mitchell, S.D., awarded 172 degrees during commencement services at the Corn Palace.
The following student was awarded a degree:
Lori Lima, Balaton, earned an associate of science degree in nursing on May 4.
Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical announces 2013 graduates
The 2013 list of Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical, graduates includes **Caleb Nemes Rasmusson of Marshall, diploma, band instrument repair, Red Wing. Commencement ceremonies took place May 14 in Winona and May 15 in Red Wing.
