Jesus Cares annual picnic Tuesday in Marshall

Christ Lutheran Church’s Jesus Cares Ministry will have its annual potluck summer picnic Tuesday at the REM homes at 1005 North 4th St. in Marshall. In case of rain or high temperatures, the picnic will be at Samuel Lutheran School, 500 Village Drive in Marshall. The picnic will have a cowboy theme, so participants may wear cowboy boots, hat or bandanna if they wish. From 4:30-5:15 p.m. will be games, crafts, music and bingo. At 5:30 p.m. will be supper. Participants should bring a salad or dessert to share. People with intellectual and developmental disabilities are invited. Jesus Cares Ministry is a ministry of the Lutheran Home Association in Belle Plaine. English Lutheran to celebrate 125th July 7

English Lutheran Church in Cottonwood will celebrate its 125th anniversary July 7 with an open house and service at 2 p.m. with refreshments to follow. All are welcome.
