MARSHFIELD, Wis. – Services for Douglas T. O’Donnell, 86, Marshfield will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield. The Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Assembly will form a guard of honor at the church. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 54 of Marshfield. The visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at Rembs Funeral Home and on Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. A Knights of Columbus rosary service will be at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family will designate a memorial in Doug’s name at a later date.
He died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Palliative Care.
He was born June 28, 1927, in Clark County, to Lester and Violet (Madler) O’Donnell. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II.
Survivors include his children, Patrick of Marshfield, Colleen of Minocqua, Sharon of Marshfield, Lisa Rogers, Michael of O’Fallon, Ill., Daniel of Marshfield, Kevin of Palatine, Ill., and Shawn of Chili; five grandchildren; and sister, Mary Ellen Stevens of Carthage, Texas.
