A big late-inning comeback helped the Hadley Buttermakers force a decisive third game in a Region 13C playoff series against top seed Fairmont, but Hadley ran out of magic Sunday in a blowout loss.

The Buttermakers scored seven runs over the final two innings of a 9-8 win Saturday in Hadley. Fairmont returned the favor the next game, exploding for eight runs in the bottom of the sixth Sunday in a 15-3 win in seven innings in Fairmont.

In Game 2 Saturday, the Buttermakers scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth to tie Fairmont at 7-all. The Martins added a run in the top of the ninth, but Hadley struck for two runs in the bottom of the inning to get the walk-off win.
