ST. PAUL – Mass of Christian Burial for Richard C. Kerkvliet, 83, of St. Paul, is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of St. Mark, 2001 Dayton Ave., St. Paul. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave., St. Paul and also one hour prior to mass at church. Richard will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. A very special thank you to the staff at Cerenity for their loving care and support. He passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Cerenity Senior Care Marian in St. Paul.
He was born in Marshall to Cornelius and Cornelia. He lived most of his life in St. Paul.
Richard was extremely loving and proud of his three children; son Kevin (and Doreen), daughter Joan and son Jim (and Pam). He was blessed with eight beautiful grandchildren and two wonderful great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved sister Mabel and brother Harold (and Barb). Richard was extremely blessed with many caring and compassionate brothers and sisters-in-law and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Grace.
