Smile Designers adds new dentist
Michael R. Thomas, D.D.S. of Smile Designers, announces the addition of Kevin J. Fitzgerald D.D.S to his dental practice.
Dr. Fitzgerald is from Fridley. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and has spent the last two years working at a dental practice in North Dakota.
He looks forward to returning to Minnesota and making his home in Marshall.
Prairie View Healthcare employees to take part in Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Prairie View Healthcare Center employees will volunteer their time to participate in the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Willmar. One hundred percent of the money raised goes directly to further the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association, which is, funding research and advocacy as well as education and support for those in need. This include programs and outreach to those just diagnosed, collaboration within the medical community, support groups and initiatives to advance public policy. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s takes place throughout the country on different days throughout the year. The Walk in Willmar is Oct. 5. The Prairie View team made will raise money from the community for the walk and then attend the walk the first weekend in October.
According the Alzheimer’s Association, Alzheimer’s Disease affects one in nine people over the age of 65 and is expected to rise by 25 percent among individuals 65 and older by the year 2025.
