Carstensen hired at SW/WC Service Cooperative

Anna Jo Carstensen was recently hired as a speech language pathologist at the SW/WC Service Cooperative. Carstensen will provide speech/language services to students at Westbrook-Walnut Grove, Brewster, and the Blue Mound Learning Center in Pipestone. She previously worked for Big Stone Therapies at Avera Marshall Hospital. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a graduate degree from the University of North Dakota.

Giles appointed financial rep. for Northwestern Mutual

Derek Giles has been appointed financial representative by Northwestern Mutual in Marshall.

As a financial representative, Giles will join a network of specialists offering a wide array of products. In offering life, disability and long term care insurance, he will provide expert guidance and innovative solutions for a variety of financial needs and goals.

Before joining Northwestern Mutual, Giles was a Schwan route driver in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Giles is a Balaton native and currently lives in Lynd with his wife, Emily, and two children, Thorne and Taegan.

Lockwood Chrysler raises $2,320 in funding for St. Anne School

Lockwood Chrysler helped to raise $2,320 in funding for St. Anne School with Chrysler brand’s Drive for the Kids program. The fundraising event took place Aug. 20, in conjunction with back to school night.

Participants earned a $10 contribution to the school on their behalf from the Chrysler brand by taking a brief test drive in a 2013 model Town & Country minivan as well as other Chrysler vehicles made available for test drives thanks to Lockwood Chrysler.

At the conclusion of the program, the school with the highest number of test drives in each one of the five geographic regions (Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Central, and West) will win an additional $5,000, for a total of $25,000 in additional funding from Chrysler through the Drive for the Kids program.
