PREP VOLLEYBALL: Tigers sweep Wolverines

CLARA?CITY – The Class AA No. 1-ranked Marshall Tigers swept MACCRAY 25-19, 25-12, 25-15 in a non-conference matchup Monday.

Kenzie Beekman dominated the floor with 20 kills and 14 digs. Rachel Sanow pitched in 37 set assists and 11 digs.

“Good things happened (Monday) but it took us awhile to get going,” Marshall head coach Dan Westby said. “We found our rhythm in the second game and cleaned up our errors, which helped us become better servers and passers.”

The Wolverines were led by Brooklyn Gould with nine kills and nine digs. Aleah Schwitters added 18 assists and two aces in the loss.

The Tigers (10-1 overall) will be back in action Thursday when they travel to Class AA No. 7-ranked Jackson County Central. MACCRAY takes on Lac Qui Parle Valley next Tuesday in a Camden Conference battle.
