PREP ROUNDUP: YME tennis tops Redwood Valley

The Yellow Medicine East girls tennis team claimed six matches in its victory over the Redwood Valley Cardinals.

The Sting controlled the match-up earning three wins in singles and a sweep in doubles. Danielle Clarke, Britanna Raddatz and Anne Clarke each scored wins in singles matches.

Doubles victories came from three teams including Jordan Trotter with partner Sandy Bartels, Mariah Norell with partner Stephanie Bartels and Sophie Timm with partner Haley Spielman.

Marshall 12, Worthington 8

Matt Thompson scored on touchdown runs of 1 and 60 yards to lead the Marshall junior varsity football team to a 12-8 victory over Worthington on Monday.

The Tigers (1-2 overall) travel to Watertown, S.D., on Monday.
