ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
PROJECT IDENTIFICATION: Marshall Public School will receive sealed Bids for Career Pathways Renovations, located at 305 South 2nd Street, Marshall, Minnesota 56258, in accordance with the Bidding Documents prepared by Armstrong, Torseth, Skold & Rydeen, Inc., Architects and Engineers, 8501 Golden Valley Road, Suite 300, Minneapolis, MN 55427-4414.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Project consists of interior alterations to provide daycare classrooms, administrative offices, toilet rooms, classrooms and a prep kitchen in the existing office spaces. Work includes gypsum board and metal stud partitions, resilient flooring, carpet tile, ceramic/porcelain tile, acoustical tile ceilings, concrete floor and sidewalk patching, aluminum entrances, hollow metal frames and wood doors and associated mechanical and electrical work.
TYPE OF BIDS: Single lump sum bids will be received for the total scope of the Work.
BID DATE: Bids must be received on or before October 23, 2013 at 2:00 P.M., local time.
DELIVERY AND OPENING OF BIDS: Prime Bidders shall submit their Bid to Mr. Bruce Lamprecht, Director of Business Services, at the Office of Independent School District No. 413, 401 South Saratoga Street, Marshall, Minnesota. Submit Bid envelopes to receptionist, who will stamp envelopes with time received. Bids received after specified times will be rejected and remain unopened. Bids will be opened publicly immediately after closure for bidding period.
BID SECURITY: Bids shall be accompanied by bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Base Bid submitted, made payable to the Owner.

Procurement of Documents By Prime Bidders: Prime Bidders may secure up to (2) sets of Bidding Documents upon receipt of a refundable deposit of $100.00 per set, made payable to Architect.
Procurement of Documents By Major Sub-Bidders: Mechanical and Electrical Subcontract Bidders may secure (1) set of Bidding Documents upon receipt of a refundable deposit of $100.00, made payable to Architect.
Procurement of Documents By Sub-Bidders: Sub-Bidders (other than identified Major Sub-Bidders) may purchase full or partial sets of Bidding Documents from Reprographic Source. Cost for purchasing Bidding Documents is non-refundable.
PRE-BID MEETING: A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Monday, October 14, 2013, beginning at 2:00 P.M. Meet at front entry of the Customer Elation Building, 305 South 2nd Street, Marshall, Minnesota 56258. Meeting is highly recommended for Prime Bidders. Sub-Bidders may attend.
TIME OF COMMENCEMENT: Work may commence upon receipt of notice to proceed. It is
anticipated that the Board of Education will award the contract on October 24, 2013.
TIME OF COMPLETION: Owner requires Substantial Completion of Contract Work on or before January 3, 2014.
BONDING REQUIREMENTS: Contractor will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond.
