CROP Hunger Walk is Sunday at St. Stephen
The Lincoln Lyon County CROP Hunger Walk will take place Sunday. Walkers will register at St. Stephen Lutheran Church on South 4th Street in Marshall at 1 p.m., and the event will kick off at 1:30 p.m. Walkers may complete a 1K, 5K or 10K route. Each walker gains pledges to help support hunger relief and development efforts at home and abroad.
The Lincoln-Lyon CROP Hunger Walk has set a goal of 150 walkers and hopes to raise $10,000 to help stop hunger and poverty in the community and around the world through self-help initiatives. Twenty-five percent of the funds raised in Sunday’s CROP Walk will go to the Marshall Area Food Shelf and the Tyler Area Food Shelf.
