Wolf receives photo from CUF
The Catholic United Financial council: Bread of Life, from Holy Redeemer Church, presented the Rev. Paul Wolf with a framed photo of Pope Francis. The photo will be on permanent display in the lower gathering space in the newly- renovated church basement. The council also provided a similar photo to Holy Redeemer School. Junior, senior high youth invited to anti-bullying event Wednesday in Balaton
All junior and senior high youth are invited to Stand Up! Anti-Bullying event from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Victory Christian Church, 1010 Lake Yankton Ave., Balaton.
The featured speaker is Luke Nelson who will tell his story of being a victim of bullying in high school. Nelson overcame bullying and wants to inspire youth to stand up for others who may be bullied. Music will be provided by a Marshall area youth band.
Pastor appreciation dinner Nov. 3 at MMS
The Marshall area pastor appreciation dinner will feature Bob Stromberg. The event, an evening of fun, food and fellowship honoring Marshall area pastors, will be Sunday, Nov. 3, at Marshall Middle School, 401 E. Saratoga St., Marshall. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at Treasured Times, Hy-Vee or online at marshall.webconnex.com/pastor. DivorceCare begins Monday at Marshall Ev Free
DivorceCare will be offered from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Marshall Evangelical Free Church, 410 Airport Road (County Road 7). DivorceCare is a Christ-centered, Bible-based DVD series for those who are divorced or separated. The series runs seven to eight weeks. Alumni or anyone recently divorced, separated or divorced for a long time are invited to attend.
The DVDs and workbooks have been recently updated and offer teachings from experts in the field of divorce recovery. Each 40-minute video is followed by discussion. Some of the topics are dealing with loneliness, depression, finances, children and forgiveness.

Chili supper Sunday in Minneota
St. Paul’s Church in Minneota is sponsoring a chili supper from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the church. Chili, French bread, bars and a beverage will be served. Everyone is welcome.
Pro-life breakfast set for Oct. 27 at Carlin Hall
A pro-life pancake, egg and sausage breakfast is from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct 27, in Carlin Hall, Holy Redeemer Church basement, Marshall, sponsored by Birthright of Marshall. Everyone is welcome. A free will offering will be accepted.
