PREP FOOTBALL: MLA dominates All-SCC awards

Southern Confederacy Conference West Division champion Mountain Lake Area led the all-conference football list with five players, including offensive player of the year Carter Kirk and defensive player of the year Josh Grev.

In addition to the Wolverine’s Tim Kirk being named coach of the year, MLA also had two honorable mention selections.

Westbrook-Walnut Grove finished third in the West division with a 4-2 record. The Chargers had four players named all-conference – Levi Bunting, Tyler Schoborg, Sean McCroskey and Matt Otto. Tristan Joel and Logan Weis were honorable mentions for the Chargers.

Edgerton/Ellsworth, second in the league (5-1) also had four players make the list, while Hills-Beaver Creek (3-3) had three and Fulda (2-4) two. Renville County West (1-5) and Southwest United (0-6) each had one.
