TYLER – William Eugene “Bill” Waters, 69, of Tyler, passed away at 3:35 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at Central Minnesota Senior Care in Lake Benton. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at Lighthouse Assembly of God in Lake Benton. Keith Greer will officiate.
Bill was born Oct. 25, 1944, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to James “Jim” and Marjorie “Marge” Waters. He married Mary Christine Rose “Chris” Ravely on Oct. 26. 1978, in Mankato, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Chris on April 8, 2005, and daughter Mary Frances on Sept. 29, 1986. Surviving are one son, Jamie Waters of Peoria Ill.; three daughters, Brenda (Greg) Douglass of Peru, Ind., Nikole (Mark) Christensen of Pipestone, Minn., and Kathryn Waters of Tyler; ten grandchildren; three brothers, Jim Waters of Port Arthur Tex., Tom Waters of Balaton, Minn., and John Waters of Janesville, Minn.
Bill will be remembered for his love of Jesus Christ, his family, and his friends. He will be remembered for his faithful service to our country as a member of the United States Army. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend and he will be remembered for passing on a lasting legacy of faith, music, and love.
Our family would like to thank all those who were involved in his care. Your time, efforts, and kindness were appreciated by our father and are appreciated by ourselves as well.
