SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Gina Bakker and Christopher Folk announce their engagement. Parents of the couple are Dick and Margaret Bakker of Marshall, Gary Folk of Mission, Kan., and Louise Morris of Raymore, Mo. Bakker is a 2002 graduate of Marshall High School, a 2007 graduate of Jamestown College, Jamestown, N.D., with a bachelor of science degree in biology/clinical lab science, and 2011 graduate of the National Institute of Health’s Specialist in Blood Bank Program in Bethesda, Md. She is employed with the Community Blood Center in Kansas City, Kan., as an immunohematology reference specialist. Folk is a graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School in Overland Park, Kan., and a 1998 and 2006 graduate of Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kan., with an associate degree of science in automotive service technology and a bachelor’s in automotive technology with an emphasis in service management. He is employed with Adam’s Toyota in Lee’s Summit, Mo., as an automotive service technician.
The wedding and reception will be Dec. 7, 2013, at the historic Elms Hotel in Excelsior Springs, Mo.
