A Summary of the Proceedings of the Lyon County Board
Commissioner Anderson opened the JD 15 meeting at 8:15 a.m. Present from Lyon County were Commissioners Goodenow, Anderson and Stensrud, present from Redwood were John Shueller and Lon Walling.
MSP to hold the JD 15 public hearing at December 16 at 1:00 p.m. in CR 1 & 2 or December 19 at 1:30 p.m. in CR 1& 2 as an alternate date.
Commissioner Anderson closed the JD 15 meeting and opened the JD 14 meeting. Present from Lyon were Commissioners Anderson and Stensrud, present from Redwood were John Schueller, Lon Walling and Al Kokesch.
MSP to have the JD 14 Public hearing following the JD 15 meeting on December 16 in CR 1&2 or December 19 in CR 1&2 as an alternate date.
The Ditch Authority adjourned at 8:23 a.m.
9:00 a.m. pursuant to notice the Lyon County Commissioners met with the following members present: Commissioners Anderson, Sanow, Ritter, Goodenow and Stensrud. Also present: County Administrator Stomberg, Attorney Maes.
MSP to approve the agenda.
MSP to approve the consent agenda.
MSP to approve the task authorization #6 which includes the annual report, demolition, and solid waste disposal facility report.
MSP to approve Task Authorization #7 which includes engineering consulting service with Leidos Engineering.
MSP to approve Agreement No. 04581 with MN/Dot to include the change of listing Aaron VanMoer as Engineer on the contract in the amount of $4,516.59.
MSP to approve the MN Dot Detour agreement No. 04581 Resolution.
MSP to approve the E-Waste Service agreement with Universal Recycling Technology.
MSP to enter into an agreement with the State of MN for $23,035.
MSP to approve continuing the hiring process and posting the position on Career Services and the county website.
MSP to approve hiring Amy Caspers at $14.59/hour to begin on or about November 12.
MSP to approve closing County offices on the day after Thanksgiving and closing at noon on December 24 for 2013. Motion carried with Commissioners Anderson, Goodenow, Sanow and Stensrud voting in favor and Commissioner Ritter voting against.
MSP to not allow employees to opt out for the 2014 health insurance year.
MSP to approve the County providing the cost of employee Long Term Disability and $50,000 Life Insurance with the termination of the Cafeteria plan.
MSP to go in to closed session for County Admin Annual Performance review.
After review of the County Administrator, it found his performance satisfactory.
MSP to set Stomberg’s salary at $104,400, reflecting a $3,000 increase.
