Man arrested after high-speed chase
LYON COUNTY – The subject of a high-speed chase leading out of Marshall on Wednesday afternoon was later arrested by law enforcement, Marshall Police said.
A traffic violation incident led to a pursuit reported at 3:01 p.m. Wednesday on West College Drive. Sgt. James Marshall of the Marshall Police Department said the suspect in the pursuit drove out of the Marshall city limits on Minnesota Highway 19 and onto Lyon County Road 5. The pursuit was called off about 7 miles outside of town, Marshall said. The pursuit reached speeds of up to 100 miles per hour, Marshall said.
There were no injuries or damage to property reported in the pursuit, Marshall said.
Marshall said the suspect in the pursuit was later apprehended in Lyon County, around 6 p.m. A report was sent to the county attorney for consideration of fleeing police charges on a 28-year-old man.
