Crime/accidents for Jan. 22

LYON COUNTY – A search warrant was executed in an incident reported at 8:58 a.m. Friday on the 2500 block of Lyon County Road 7, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

LYON COUNTY – A Marshall man, 24, turned himself in on a Lyon County warrant in an incident reported at 4:44 p.m. Friday, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

LYON COUNTY – A Walnut Grove man, 43, was cited for no Minnesota driver’s license and no insurance in an incident reported at 7:23 p.m. Saturday on the 2300 block of Lyon County Road 11, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

LYON COUNTY – A juvenile matter was reported at 8:39 p.m. Saturday on the 2100 block of Lyon County Road 11, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

LYON COUNTY – No report was in on a domestic incident reported at 3:14 p.m. Monday on the 3100 block of Lyon County Road 22, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

LYON COUNTY – Subjects were contacted and advised in an incident reported at 3:47 a.m. Sunday on the 2600 block of Minnesota Highway 23, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

MARSHALL – Theft of a Gator and trailer was reported at 9:25 a.m. Monday on the 1100 block of North U.S. Highway 59, Marshall Police said.

MARSHALL – A license plate was found and returned to its owner in an incident reported at 2:19 p.m. Monday on the 1000 block of West College Drive, Marshall Police said.

MARSHALL – Theft of boots valued at $85 was reported at 7:09 p.m. Monday at the Marshall Area YMCA, Marshall Police said.

BALATON – Auto theft reported at 10:19 a.m. Saturday on the 400 block of South Mound Avenue is under investigation, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

BALATON – A criminal sexual incident reported at 7:12 p.m. Saturday on the 200 block of North Washington Avenue is under investigation, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

Accidents

LYON COUNTY – A property damage accident with a deer was reported at 10:17 p.m. Saturday on Lyon County Road 9, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

BALATON – A 2012 Buick driven by a Balaton woman, 90, received moderate damage, and a 2012 Chevrolet driven by a Balaton woman, 28, also received moderate damage in a property damage accident reported at 9:53 am. Sunday on Central Avenue, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

MURRAY COUNTY – A Slayton woman was injured in a personal injury accident reported at 4 p.m. Monday on Minnesota Highway 30, the Minnesota State Patrol said. A 1999 Chevrolet driven by Alexis Esmay of Slayton received moderate damage when she lost control, entered the ditch and rolled, Patrol said. Esmay received non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Murray County Hospital in Slayton, Patrol said. Lake Wilson Fire and Rescue and Murray County Ambulance assisted at the scene, and State Patrol is investigating, Patrol said.
