Area students earn degree at SCSU

St. Cloud State University conducted fall 2013 commencement ceremonies Dec. 21 at Halenbeck Hall and awarded 977 degrees to students including students from the Marshall area.

Tauer receives degree from BSU

Christina Tauer of Marshall was one of 243 students who completed degree requirements at Bemidji State University and graduated at the conclusion of the 2013 fall semester.

Tauer received a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration.

Opdahl named to dean’s list at the University of Minnesota, Morris

Jacob Opdahl of Minneota has been named to the University of Minnesota, Morris dean’s list for the fall 2013 semester. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.66 or higher while taking 12 or more credits, two-thirds of these credits on the A-F grading system.

To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while attaining a 3.66 grade point average.

Area students named to dean’s list at Bethel University

The following students have been named to the dean’s list for academic excellence for the fall 2013 semester at Bethel University.

Ashley Aamot, a junior, is the daughter of Patty Moe from Balaton.

Shannon Pepper, a senior, is the daughter of Laurie Pepper from Marshall.

The dean’s list honors students who achieve an outstanding scholastic record during a semester with a grade point average of 3.6 or greater.
