PREP BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Flying Dutchmen send Falcons out of Class A tourney

LAMBERTON – Red Rock Central was eliminated from the Class A Section 3 South Division Tournament on Friday night as they fell to Edgerton 63-47.

The game was originally scheduled to be played on Thursday, but was postponed due to the weather.

Tom Blomgren led RRC with 14 points. Austin Price added 13 points of his own.

LAMBERTON – The Red Rock Central girls basketball team overcame a halftime deficit to Ellsworth to tie the game 52-52 at the end of regulation on Friday before coming out on top 63-61 in double overtime in Lamberton.

The Falcons were led by Melanie Kedl, who had an 18-point, 16-rebound double-double. Olivia Bittner also had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds while Rachel Kedl added 17 points and six blocks in the win.
