Area families invited on Lenten journey at Lutheran churches

Two Lutheran churches of Minneota, St. Paul’s Lutheran and Hope Lutheran, will host Lenten Wednesday services and activities this year that center on Faith 5, simple steps to help bring families closer to God and each other. All are welcome to participate.

St. Paul’s will host “Faith 5 Lenten Journey for Families.” Starting at 6 p.m. each Wednesday in Lent, beginning on Ash Wednesday, March 5, and continuing to Wednesday, April 9, families will gather for a light supper and program. The evening ends promptly at 7:30 p.m. It is designed for families with children ages 12 and younger.

Hope Lutheran will host Wednesday night services based on Faith 5 that are suited more to adults and families with older children. Services there begin at 7 p.m.

St. Paul’s is located at 412 E. Lyon in Minneota, and Hope is located 113 S. Jefferson. They are part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. For more information, contact Vicar Ann Gonyea at 517-530-1825 or the Rev. Tom Kolden of Hope at 507-872-6446.
