Moorse honored as an Attorney of the Year by Minnesota Lawyer

Charles “Chuck” Moorse, a Marshall native and a Lindquist & Vennum partner in the firm’s mergers and acquisitions group, has been recognized by Minnesota Lawyer as one of Minnesota’s 2013 Attorneys of the Year. Honorees were chosen by a panel from submitted nominations based on procuring a successful result in an important case or business transaction, the leadership in professional associations, by the participation in newsworthy events in the legal community, or by performing significant public services or in-house legal services.

Moorse graduated from the William Mitchell College of Law and received his bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University.

Local realtors receive awards

RE/MAX North Central, the regional office for RE/MAX franchises throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin, honored Minnesota RE/MAX Town & Country associates for outstanding achievements in 2013 with the following awards: DuWayne Johnson, 100% Club; Charles Holland, Executive Club.

The Executive Club level is the fifth-highest regional honor for sales in a single year. Nearly 22 percent of 1,436 RE/MAX North Central associates in Minnesota achieved the Executive Club level in 2013.

The 100% Club level is the fourth-highest regional honor for sales in a single year. Nearly 31 percent of 1,436 RE/MAX North Central associates in Minnesota achieved the 100% Club level in 2013.

CHS kicks off fourth annual Harvest for Hunger event

CHS Marshall County Operation is collecting food and funds to help fight hunger.

CHS is participating in the fourth annual CHS Harvest for Hunger food and fund drive to raise donations of money, food and grain to benefit hungry families throughout our community. Hunger in America exists for more than 50 million people, according to Feeding America.

Beginning on March 1, CHS Marshall joined CHS Country Operations locations across the country to raise food and funds for regional food banks, which will be distributed to food shelves throughout our area. Financial donations are encouraged because food banks can purchase quality food at discounted rates.

Donations may be dropped off at CHS Minnesota locations in Ruthton, Marshall, Tracy, Pipestone and South Dakota location in Elkton. All donations assist local food banks to help those in need and are matched by CHS Inc.
