Courts for March 28

MARSHALL – Veronica Turrubiates, 42, homeless, appeared in Lyon County District Court March 25 on charges of theft, fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. A complaint alleges Turrubiates stole merchandise valued at more than $1,200 from a Marshall business and fled police on Feb. 22. A hearing was continued to April 8.

MARSHALL – Thomas Wayne Anderson, 45, of Marshall, pleaded innocent in Lyon County District Court March 25 to charges of ineligible possession of firearms, second degree controlled substance crime, fourth degree controlled substance crime, fifth degree controlled substance crime and possession of drug paraphernalia. A complaint alleges Anderson possessed methamphetamines and marijuana, and possessed a handgun and two rifles in Lyon County on Jan. 16. A trial was set for June 12-13, and a pretrial hearing was set for June 3.

MARSHALL – Thomas Wayne Anderson, 45, of Marshall, pleaded innocent in Lyon County District Court March 25 to charges of no proof of insurance, intent to escape tax, unlawful use of license plates and seatbelt violation. A complaint alleges Anderson drove a vehicle with expired plates and tabs from another vehicle in Lyon County on Jan. 15. A trial was set for June 12-13, and a pretrial hearing was set for June 3.

MARSHALL – Abdishakur Mohamed Osman, 24, address unknown, appeared in Lyon County District Court March 25 on charges of theft, possession of stolen property, carrying a firearm without a permit and obstruction of legal process. A complaint alleges Osman stole a gun and ammunition in Marshall on March 1. A hearing was set for April 22.

MARSHALL – Judy Marie Henderson, 34, of Comfrey, appeared in Lyon County District Court March 25 on charges of second degree driving while impaired – refusal to test. A complaint alleges Henderson drove while impaired in Marshall on March 9. A hearing was set for April 22.
