Mustangs, Huskies DH is canceled

MARSHALL – The Southwest Minnesota State University baseball doubleheader scheduled for Wednesday at St. Cloud State has been canceled due to poor field conditions in both St. Cloud and Marshall. Per Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference rules, the games will not be made up.

SMSU (10-10, 1-3 NSIC) is scheduled to play at Minnesota-Duluth on Saturday and Sunday but, more than likely, the doubleheader will be moved to another location.

SMSU hosting free youth soccer clinic

MARSHALL – The Southwest Minnesota State women’s soccer team is conducting a free youth soccer clinic for players aged 5 to 17 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at The Schwan Regional Events Center.

There will be a variety of age-appropriate drills and stations for players to fine-tune their skills for the upcoming season.

The Marshall United Soccer Association is still accepting registrations for the spring/summer season. Registration forms can be found online at www.marshallyouthsoccer.com. Registration information will also be available at the soccer clinic Saturday.

Following the clinic, all are invited to stay for the Mustangs’ spring game.
