Willert on Brainerd School District’s short list

MARSHALL – Marshall Superintendent Klint Willert is among seven candidates to be interviewed for the same position in the Brainerd School District.

Current Brainerd Superintendent Steve Razidlo announced his resignation, effective at the end of the school year, according to the Brainerd Dispatch.

School Exec Connect, an Illinois-based firm that specializes in placing school leaders in districts, is heading the search for Razidlo’s replacement.

Interviews were scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday of this week. A second round of interviews will be next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The new superintendent is expected to begin his or her duties July 1.

In all, there were 24 applicants for the position – eight of whom are already superintendents.
