Willert one of 3 finalists for Brainerd post

MARSHALL – Marshall Superintendent Klint Willert is one of three finalists in the superintendent search for the Brainerd School District.

Current Brainerd Superintendent Steve Razidlo announced his resignation, effective at the end of the school year, according to the Brainerd Dispatch.

The other finalists are Deidre Wells, superintendent of Inver Grove Heights Community Schools; and Ron Wilke, superintendent at La Crescent-Hokah Public Schools.

The new superintendent is expected to begin his or her duties July 1.

In all, there were 24 applicants for the position – eight of whom are already superintendents.

Willert, who was interviewed Thursday after the list of candidates was narrowed to seven, has been superintendent in Marshall for 10 years
