Prairie Women’s Expo is Saturday in Tracy
The Prairie Women’s Expo planners are gearing up for another fun day of socializing, shopping and watching a fashion show. Now in its eighth year, the expo is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Center in downtown Tracy. It’s billed as “a day designed just for women with a huge variety of products, pampering and great food.” Admission to the show is free.
“It’s a fun show, and it’s spring – time to get out of the house,” said Tracy Area Chamber of Commerce Director Kim Roggatz.
About 60 vendors from around the region will show their wares, said Roggatz.
“I’m still getting calls from vendors,” she said. “I have to tell them we’re full up for this year, but I’ll put them down for next year.”
Roggatz said 60 vendors is the most the expo has ever had.
“They know it’s a great show,” she said.
Vendors will show items such as home decor.
“It will be different people so we won’t double up,” Roggatz said.
In addition to home decor, there will be “Advocare, Pampered Chef, people selling hats, scarves – quite a variety,” she said.
Goodie bags will be given to the first 200 women.
The bags contain “great coupons from businesses” and assorted items such as pens and pads, spatulas and a pill case.
At 1 p.m. a fashion show will take place.
“Christopher and Banks from Marshall and Summit Place of Tracy will show their styles,” Roggatz said.
