PREP SOFTBALL ROUNDUP: Rabbits get complete game from Rohlik in first victory

WABASSO – Callie Rohlik pitched a complete game and added three hits to help lead the Wabasso Rabbits to their first win of the season, defeating Minnesota Valley Lutheran 10-3 on Thursday afternoon.

Rohlik struck out seven batters in the game, while allowing three runs on five hits. At the plate, she added three singles and drove in a run.

Shelby Taylor added an RBI triple for the Rabbits.

Wabasso’s Tiffany Eichten posted her first victory as a varsity coach.

The Rabbits (1-2) are scheduled to host the Wabasso Invitational this weekend.

GRANITE FALLS – The Yellow Medicine East Sting softball team fell on Thursday afternoon 6-2.

Hailey Enstad led the Sting at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double and two singles. She also added a RBI and a run scored.

Becca Rigge went 2-for-3 for YME, with two singles.

Mariah Norell pitched the complete game for YME. She allowed six runs on seven hits, striking out one batter.

Ortonville 11, Lakeview 7

ORTONVILLE – Lakeview was handed their second loss of the season Thursday afternoon as they fell to Ortonville 11-7 in non-conference road play.

Ortonville took an early five-run lead in the bottom of the second inning. Lakeview (1-2) scored four runs in the third to close the gap to a one-run deficit, but that’s as close as they would get the rest of the game.

Anissa Peppersack took the loss for the Lakers, giving up five runs on three hits. At the plate, she went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and two runs scored.
