PREP SOFTBALL/BASEBALL ROUNDUP: Dawson-Boyd sweeps Tracy-Milroy-Balaton in Camden
TRACY – Dawson-Boyd used strong offensive performances to sweep Tracy-Milroy-Balaton on Friday. The Blackjacks took game one 14-3 in five innings and won the second game 9-7.
Dawson-Boyd spread their scoring attack across the board, scoring at least one run in every inning and at least three runs in four of the five innings.
Hailey Mork led the Blackjacks, going 2-for-3 in the game.
Sadie Zaiser pitched a complete game for Dawson-Boyd, striking out six.
Lexi Tauer went 2-for-4 to lead the Panthers the Panthers.
In the back-half of the doubleheader, the Blackjack bats cooled a little, but it still wasn’t enough for TMB to overcome as Dawson-Boyd took it 9-7.
The Panthers (1-3, 1-3 Camden) took a 4-1 lead in the second inning, but a sixth-inning rally by the Blackjacks made the difference, scoring four runs to take a two-run lead.
TMB tried to make a seventh-inning comeback, but the one run they scored wasn’t enough.
Kylie Schuelke went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Blackjacks. The Panthers were led by Raelin Radke, who went 2-for-4 with two triples.

MINNEOTA – Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta scored five runs to break open a 3-all tie in the top of the sixth, eventually defeating Minneota/Canby/ Lincoln HI 11-3 on Friday.
M/C/L used some big plays to take a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the third, including a RBI triple by Ricki Kalhoff and an inside-the-park home run by Brook Bauman.
It wasn’t enough though as Morris Area scored eight unanswered runs in the final two innings to take control of the game.
Bauman picked up the loss for the Vikings, allowing 11 runs on eight hits in six innings.

ADRIAN – The Dragons scored five first-inning runs to catapult Adrian to a 8-3 win on Friday afternoon in a non-conference game.
Jordan Beck led the Vikings at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double. Austin Buysse added a 2-for-4 stat-line as well, with a double of his own.
Beck started the game on the mound for Minneota/Lincoln HI (1-2), allowing five runs on seven hits in just three innings. Peyton Nuy came in relief, allowing three unearned runs while striking out three Dragon batters.
Minneota/Lincoln HI is scheduled to host Renville County West on Monday.
