SMSU student from S.D. dies

MARSHALL – A Southwest Minnesota State University student from South Dakota died Saturday, according to a campus-wide letter sent to SMSU faculty, staff and students.

Russell Inches of Bath, S.D., lived on campus in the SMSU residence halls and was an Agribusiness major and a Tolk Scholarship recipient this past year, the letter said. He enrolled at SMSU in the fall of 2011. According to his obituary, he died at his campus residence.

Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. on Wednesday at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home in Aberdeen, S.D., with family present from 5-7 p.m. Services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Aberdeen First Assembly of God Church.
