The City of Marshall Minnesota, will receive bids in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building located at 344 West Main Street until 2:00 p.m. on May 15, 2014, for the following project in Marshall, Minnesota:

Southwest Minnesota Regional Amateur Sports Ballpark, Phase 1 Ballfields/Concessions Foundations

This project involves the earthwork for four softball/baseball fields, aglime, site utilities, concrete footings and foundations for a concessions building, concrete retaining walls for fields and dugouts, segmental retaining walls, irrigation and irrigation pump station, landscaping, fencing, and underground electrical and footings for field lighting. Refer to Specification Section 01 12 00 Multiple Contract Summary for a complete breakdown of Contracts. All bidders are required to become acquainted with the extent of the work and the conditions under which the work will be performed.

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in the Conference Room of Marshall Municipal Utilities located at 113 South 4th Street in Marshall, Minnesota.

Bids shall be directed to the City Clerk/Financial Director, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper with a brief statement for the summary as to the work for which the bid is made.

Immediately following expiration of the time for receiving bids, the City Clerk/Financial Director and Director of Public Works/City Engineer or their designee will publicly open bids in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 344 West Main Street.

All bids shall be made on the printed proposal forms incorporated in the Project Manual and shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier’s check, bid bond or certified check, payable to the order of the City of Marshall for not less than 10% of the bid.

The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of any bid, to waive minor defects, technicalities, or any informalities in the bidding or to advertise for new proposals, and to accept that bid deemed to be in the City’s best interest.

No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least 90 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.

The bids and the responsibility of the bidders will be considered by the City Council at 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, in the Professional Development Room at the Marshall Middle School, 401 South Saratoga Street.

Bidders may obtain sets of Bidding Documents by contacting Victoria VandeLinde at the office of the Construction Manager, Bossardt Corporation, 5270 West 84th Street, Suite #550, Bloomington, Minnesota 55437. Plans will be distributed electronically only. Contractors will be responsible for printing plans if hard copies are desired.
