MARTINSDALE, Mont. – Memorial Mass for Debra Ann Berg, 56, of Martinsdale, Mont., will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Harlowton, Mont. A Celebration of Life will follow the services in Martinsdale. The Perkins Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family.
The family will be remembering her with a memorial mass on April 30 at Our Lady of Victory Church in Lucan at 7 p.m. with a luncheon to follow the service.
Friends are asked to make memorials to Mountain View Medical Center in White Sulphur Springs, RiverStone Hospice of Billings or the charity of their choice, and they may be left with the Perkins Funeral Home, PO Box 313, Harlowton, MT 59036.
She died Friday, April 18, 2014, in RiverStone Hospice in Billings following a long illness, with her family by her side.
She was born March 9, 1958, in Redwood Falls, the daughter of Kenny and Rose Ann (Brey) Miller. She received her schooling in Minnesota, graduating from Wabasso High School. She was united in marriage to Allan Fiedler in Minnesota, and they made their home there until moving to Montana in the early 1980s, settling in Martinsdale. They had three children, Stacy, Chad and Jenny, and later divorced. She continued living in Martinsdale, and on July 3, 1991, she was united in marriage to Carl Berg in Harlowton. They made their home and raised their son, Michael, in Martinsdale, where she lived until the time of her death.
Debra enjoyed the outdoors, taking long walks, selling Tupperware and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include Carl and son Mike Berg, both of Martinsdale; son Chad (and Michelle) Fiedler of Columbus; daughters, Stacy Fiedler of Big Timber and Jenny Fiedler of Belgrade; her mother, Rose Ann Miller of Lucan; sisters, Nancy (and Ralph) Brand of Brandon, S.D., Kathy (and Al) Plaetz of Lucan and Marilyn (and Lyle) Williams of Russell; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Kenny and brother Michael Miller.
