3 arrested in Redwood Falls heroin bust
The Brown/Lyon/Redwood/Renville Drug task force has completed two investigations within the past weeks that have led to several heroin related arrests, the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office said.
A 43-year-old Woodbury man was arrested in Redwood Falls in the Wal-Mart parking lot after delivering a large amount of heroin with a street value of $5,200 to a confidential informant working for the drug task force. The man was arrested immediately after the transaction took place and is being held at the Redwood County Jail on second degree sale of a controlled substance, the Sheriff’s Office said.
A week later, a 48-year-old Morgan man and a 46-year-old Morgan woman were arrested in Redwood Falls at the Select Inn from the result of a search warrant. The warrant was executed by the Drug Task Force and Brown/Lyon/Redwood/Renville Emergency Response team. Evidence seized as a result of the warrant was 27 individually-wrapped bundles of heroin with a street value of more than $2,700. Also seized was more than $1,100 cash.
Both were taken to the Redwood County Jail and are awaiting formal charges, the Sheriff’s Office said.
