Marshall youth noticed

To the editor:

During the week of May 6-9, the Chippewa County Historical Society hosted our 38th annual Heritage Week. During this four-day period, almost 1,300 school children and adults attended this popular annual event with approximately 15 school children from Marshall Area Christian School and 151 school children from West Side Elementary in attendance.

The Marshall community can be very proud of their youth. The children who participated in Heritage Week were polite and considerate to the other students and adults in attendance, attentive to the instructors and “village residents” and were well prepared for their visit. Marshall elementary school teachers have done a wonderful job in teaching your children about their heritage.

Your school and community should indeed be proud of your students and your teacher.
