Crime/accidents for May 15

MARSHALL – A trespassing notice was served in a suspicious incident reported at 12:57 a.m. Thursday on the 200 block of West Main Street.

MARSHALL – A Marshall woman, 20 was arrested for fourth degree DWI and possession of drug paraphernalia and taken to the Law Enforcement Center in an incident reported at 11:12 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Lyon Street and East College Drive, Marshall Police said.

MINNEOTA – A Minneota man, 42, was bit by a cat in an incident reported at 10:33 p.m. Wednesday, Minneota Police said. The man was treated at the emergency room, and the cat was quarantined, Police said.

MARSHALL – A threat reported at 6:28 p.m. Wednesday on the 3200 block of 270th Avenue is under investigation, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

MARSHALL – A Marshall man, 35, was arrested and cited for fourth degree DWI and taken to the Law Enforcement Center in an incident reported at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday on the 1200 block of Patricia Court, Marshall Police said.

TRACY – An animal complaint was reported at 4:19 p.m. Wednesday on the 300 block of Hollett Street, Tracy Police said. No further information was available.

MARSHALL – An incident described as all other reported at 4:01 p.m. Wednesday is under investigation, Marshall Police said.

MARSHALL – A wallet was found and returned to its owner in an incident reported at 10:39 a.m. Wednesday on the 1300 block of Birch Street, Marshall Police said.

Accidents

MARSHALL – A 2002 Buick driven by a Marshall girl, 16, received light damage, and a 2008 Chevy driven by a Trimont woman, 51, received moderate damage in a property damage accident reported at 12:31 p.m. Wednesday on the 900 block of East Main Street, Marshall Police said.

MARSHALL – A 2002 GMC driven by a Marshall woman, 45, received light damage, and a 2004 Toyota driven by a Marshall woman, 67, received light damage in a property damage accident reported at 12:01 p.m. Wednesday on the 300 block of West Lyon Street, Marshall Police said.

GHENT – A Canby woman was injured in a crash reported at 10:05 a.m. Wednesday on Minnesota Highway 68, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said. Kristin Barnett received minor injuries and her 1996 Nissan received severe damage when it was involved in a crash with a 2002 Kenworth semi driven by a Windom man, 30, that received light damage, the sheriff’s department said. Barnett was taken to the hospital by ambulance, the sheriff’s department said.
