AMATEUR BASEBALL ROUNDUP: Granite Falls tops Minneota 7-6 in 10

GRANITE FALLS – Granite Falls edged the Minneota Mudhens 7-6 Friday night as the Kilowatts scored the winning run they needed in the bottom of the 10th.

Tyler Damman had a monster game offensively, tallying four hits and two RBI in six at-bats. One of hits four hits was a double. GF also got RBI from Brandon Grund, Shaun Condon, King Richter and Dylan Lindstrom. Craig Listul, Travis Enger and Dylan Lindstrom also tallied doubles for the Kilowatts.

Jesus Macias and Tyson Sonnenburg each had doubles for the Mudhens and each had an RBI. Justin Greewood, Josh Bednarek and Derek Buysse also tallied RBI.

Aaron Zieske picked up the win on the mound, striking out six while Cal Swedzinski took the loss. He had one strikeout.

HADLEY/PIPESTONE – Hadley racked up two wins in consecutive days, beating Heron Lake 11-7 on Monday and Pipestone 10-5 on Sunday. Colby Pack lead the Buttermakers with three RBI against Heron Lake while Nick Bruning had a home run to go with his two RBI. Max Zwart finished with two RBI to go with one from Taylor Rignell. Eric Wieneke also tallied three RBI.

Sam Erickson picked up the win on the mound, striking out eight and walking just one batter. Bruning earned the three-inning save, allowing one hit and striking out two.

Lon Eichenberger, Octavio Jimenez, Garet Rogers and Chad Knutson each had two hits and one RBI for the A’s and Eichenberger took the loss on the mound.

In the Sunday victory over Pipestone, Bruning had a home run as part of a three- RBI day, while Joe Larson had two RBI and Zwart, Carlson and Chris Halbur each had one RBI.

Damion Skyberg and Josh Maybon had the two RBI for Pipestone while they also got a hit from Jordan Karels.

Justin Reinsma picked up the win on the mound, striking out two while Halbur earned the save.
