Courts for May 30

MARSHALL – Armando Coronado, 38, of Willmar, appeared in Lyon County District Court May 20 on charges of third degree controlled substance crime. A complaint alleges Coronado sold methamphetamines in Marshall in April 2011. A hearing was set for June 3.

MARSHALL – Lionel Charles Sawyer, 46, of Taunton, appeared in Lyon County District Court May 20 on charges of refusing to take a chemical test, fourth degree driving while impaired and open bottle. A complaint alleges Sawyer refused to take a chemical test in Marshall on Dec. 27. A hearing was continued to June 17.

MARSHALL – Kyle Kenneth Kack, 20, of Russell, appeared in Lyon County District Court May 20 on charges of fifth degree controlled substance crime, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. A complaint alleges Kack possessed drugs in Marshall on May 3. A hearing was set for June 17.

MARSHALL – Trisha Marie Orth, 19, of Minneota, appeared in Lyon County District Court May 20 on charges of fifth degree controlled substance crime and possession of drug paraphernalia. A complaint alleges Orth possessed drugs in Marshall on May 3. A hearing was set for June 3.

MARSHALL – Christopher Lee Adams, 27, homeless, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court May 20 to charges of domestic assault, court records said. Adams assaulted a woman in Marshall on Nov. 6 and had prior domestic assault convictions in 2007 and 2008, court records said. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered, and a sentencing hearing was set for June 17.
