Jackson Bulls take out Irish
JACKSON-The Bulls used eight hits to help secure a 4-1 win over the Milroy Irish on Sunday.
Milroy’s Tyler Peterson took the loss. The Irish were limited to four hits by Pat Rausch. Derek Riley was 2-for-3 and Dakota Frieborg had a double and the only RBI for the Irish.
The Irish travel to Luverne on Wednesday with gametime set for 7 p.m.
CANBY – The Knights squeaked out a 6-5 win against Hamel on Saturday. Tate and Trevor Citrowske had their names written all over the victory.
Trevor hit a solo home run in the seventh inning to bring the Knights within one at 5-4 before Tate tied the game with an RBI double before the inning ended.
Trevor took added an RBI double of his own to give Canby the lead in the eighth inning, helping them hang on for the victory.
Zach Nuy pitched two innings of relief ball and picked up the win, striking out one and walking one. Chris Kaddetz got the start on the mound and went eight innnings, striking out eight against five walks.
Trevor Keenan took the loss on the mound for Hamel, despite striking out eight and walking just two batters.
Riley Full also had a two-RBI double.
