MARSHALL – Mass of Christian Burial for Dulis Marcotte, 93, of Minneota, formerly of Marshall, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
She peacefully passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014, at the Minneota Manor Nursing Home.
Dulis Elizabeth Marcotte (Maus) was born on March 9, 1921, to John and Alma Maus in Vesta. She taught country school for two years and worked for the Soo Line in Olatha, Kan., for two years. She and her husband Ed Marcotte, moved to Marshall, where they raised two daughters. She loved to garden, golf, play Bridge, and clean! She watched her beloved “Angel” Ed battle cancer two times, the final one taking his life in 2003.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary (and Joel) Evermann and Jane (and Mitch) Glover; grandchildren: Jennifer (and Woody) Glines, Andrew Glover (and Abby Joyce), Danny (and Lauren) Glover, Jay Glover and Stephen Glover; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Paige Glines; sister, Constance Dufour; brother, Duwayne (and Lorraine) Maus; sister-in-law, Ruth (and Kenneth) Maus; several nieces and nephews; and her dearest friends/neighbors, Joe and Millie Noyes.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed Marcotte; her parents, Alma and John Maus; brother, Kenneth Maus; and sisters, Inez Rasmussen, Marilyn Blegen and Gwendolyn Maus.
