Marvin Stelter

ECHO – Services for Marvin G. Stelter, 88, of Echo, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today with a prayer service at 7 p.m. also at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Vesta Cemetery. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family.

He died Sunday, June 29, 2014, at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

He was born Jan. 3, 1926, in Echo Township to Walter and Emma (Kuehn) Stelter. He served in the U.S. Navy as a radio operator during World War II, and was honorably discharged from the service.

Survivors include his wife, Marie of Echo; and sisters, Adeline Tabberson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jeanette Degner of Eden Prairie.
